Steel string, enclosed tuning machines, bound adjustable reinforced neck, pick guard, multi-bound body, sound hole decoration, nickle silver frets, bookmatched top, back detail in center, back and sides are mahogony, top looks like spruce, (I'm not sure)a quality guitar! Samick makes more guitars than any company in the world, pianos as well. A quality company in South Korea. If you play left handed, or if you have a person in your household that is left handed and wants to play guitar, this guitar is an outstanding unit to start out on. It will also fill the need of an established player. Gloss finish, looks and sounds very good. Has been played probably less than five minutes so is exceptional.
